Full-Time Lifeguard

Here at Eddie’s, we are recruiting for a full time lifeguard at our Windmill Hydrotherapy Pool.

Location: Fulbourn, Cambridge (CB21 5DZ)

Vacancy Type: Full-Time (35 hours) Permanent

Salary: £9.09 per hour (with PPO Qualification) / £8.45 (No PPO Qualification)

The Windmill Hydrotherapy Pool in Fulbourn, Cambridge is specifically dedicated to people with learning disabilities and physical support needs.

The hydrotherapy pool is designed with physical aids to allow easy access into the water. The Pool offers sessions for everyone ranging from toddlers to the elderly. Individuals who need short term rehabilitation, to those with severe disabilities who require regular hydrotherapy sessions.

The successful Lifeguard will:

·         Have National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - we will pay for your NPLQ training

·         Have a PPO qualification (although this is only desirable)

·         Have excellent communication skills

·         Have a good standard of physical fitness

Creative Art and Drama Tutor (based in Milton near Cambridge)

35 hours per week; maternity cover 12 months

£20,708 - £27,956 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

Do you have experience of working in the creative arts? Do you have the ability and desire to support adults with learning disabilities to reach their potential through creative activities? Are you a newly qualified teacher and keen to work with adults with SEN?

We believe that everyone has artistic potential – and our dedicated arts and craft activity group helps people with learning disabilities and special educational needs unlock theirs. We give people the chance to try a wide range of creative activities – from painting to paper mache, jewellery making to music sessions, drama and singing!

We are looking for an inspirational colleague to develop, manage and deliver a programme of arts, crafts and drama-based activities for adults with learning disabilities and SEN within our ‘Artworks’ day service.

You will be responsible for teaching new skills, planning learning programmes and outcomes to inspire the people using the service.

You will be a caring and empathetic person, with a flexible and hands-on approach to meeting personal support needs.

Relief Artworks Co-ordinators - Fenland

Eddie’s are currently seeking to recruit Relief Artworks Co-ordinators for our Artworks service based in The High Street, March, Fenland.

Our Artworks service provides a programme of creative and stimulating arts, crafts and drama based activities for people with learning and physical disabilities.

If you are an empathetic and hands-on person, with a strong interest in creative activities, we would like to hear from you.

No two sessions at Artworks are the same and for the right person this will offer a rewarding and stimulating working environment.

Relief Payments

Vacancies at The Edmund Trust

The Edmund Trust are Eddie's sister charity who supports individuals with a learning disability across North Cambridge with sites based in Milton, Histon, Chesterton and Ely. The Edmund Trust provides a range of services which includes Supported Living, Residential Care, Respite Care and Domiciliary Support in the community; and have the following vacancies available:

Support Worker Positions - Full-time (40 hours a week), Part-time (various hours and days available) and Relief posts available. Starting salary £8.34 per hour (unqualified), £9.09 per hour (qualified NVQ2 or equivalent). Locations: Cambridge, Milton, Histon and Ely.
