Cambridgeshire Mencap Team Wins The Huntingdon 10k Race

Cambridgeshire Mencap Runners are the Fastest in the Huntingdon 10k

For weeks now, our Cambridgeshire Mencap runners have been gathering sponsorships to raise funds for our vital services whilst also training and keeping fit for the big day. When the day came, everyone turned up in their T-Shirts ready to go. And in spite of the wind blowing across the airfield, our team was the fastest team overall.

William, our youngest volunteer, ran a lollipop stall - and this made extra funds whilst keeping people guessing as to which lolly stick had the winning colour for the 5 prize.

We are now counting up the sponsor monies and gathering them in. Keep an eye out for the fundraising result, which we will announce as soon as we have all sponsorship money in.

Here at Cambridgeshire Mencap we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the 3k and 10k races on our behalf - and to all those who bought lollies!
