Autism-Friendly Screenings at The Picturehouse, Cambridge

Autism-Friendly Screenings for people on the autism spectrum and their families, friends and carers

15/08/2012

Film Reel

Some people with autism are sensitive to sound and light and they can find going to the cinema difficult. During Autism-Friendly Screenings, low lights are left on in the auditorium and the volume of the soundtrack is reduced. It is fine for customers to move around, make noise or take a break during the film.

Tickets cost 3 for everyone (there are no concessions or free tickets for support workers). To find out more or to be added to the mailing list, email leah.b@picturehouses.co.uk or elinor.w@picturehouses.co.uk with 'Autism- Friendly Mailing List' and the name of your nearest Picturehouse cinema (Cambridge Picture House) in the subject line.

Autism-Friendly Screenings use advice and information from the National Autistic Society.
