Going the extra mile for our Music Therapy Group

Thank you to the Sawston Fun Run for supporting Eddie's Music Therapy Group

Eddie's were delighted to be selected as a benefiting charity of the Rotary Clubs Sawston Fun Run on Sunday 11th May. Our Music Therapy Group were chosen to benefit from the 500 cheque handed to us at the presentation evening on the 1st July, enabling them to purchase new instruments. We would like to send an enormous thank you to the Rotary Club and all those who raced and raised funds at such a fun event!

The annual Sawston Fun Run raises much welcomed funds for local charities and organisations. Even with a little rain, many hundreds of runners turned out to race on the day or support from the events area and street side, including a running team from our sister charity The Edmund Trust. Eddie's much enjoyed being part of the market place with other stall holders, entertainments and Star Radio on 107.9/1FM.

Eddie's Music therapy group is full of fun and helps family members and carers find new ways of communicating with their children. It is delivered in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University for pre-school children with learning disabilities and their parents or carers. The groups are held at Cambridge Music Therapy Clinic, Anglia Ruskin University, East Road, Cambridge. To find out more please and explore our website and contact us at music@eddies.org.uk
