Congratulations to our latest Catering Graduates

02/07/2015

Congratulations… Isaac, Lee, Katrina, Laura, Chloe, Claire, Joseph, Joe, Lawrence and Cally, who are all students attending our catering course based at St Johns College, Cambridge and who graduated on Tuesday 30 June.

On a very hot and sunny day, family and friends joined the students for their presentation day, with certificates being presented by the Master of St Johns, Professor Christopher M Dobson.

People with learning disabilities meet barriers of all types; and this course exists, primarily, to provide learners with the valuable skills necessary to be able to live their lives as they see fit, either gaining meaningful employment in the catering and hospitality industry or to live in their own homes as part of the local community.

Thank you on behalf of Eddie’s to our partners Huntingdon Regional College for all of their support, and continued commitment to the students and staff. Also a big thank you to all of the college staff at St Johns for providing such a friendly and incredible venue in which the students have the privilege to learn in.

Thank you to, course tutors, Sue and David for all of their hard work and commitment to the students, who they encourage through creativity, enthusiasm and dedication, supporting them to gain confidence in their own abilities.

A huge thank you to Jeanette, course lead, who is retiring in two weeks, from the very first day of the course 13 years ago she has held the door open for so many students showing them what opportunities await, her kindness and fairness towards colleagues, parents and students always on display.
