Rainbow Kitchen Success

Cambridge Company Amgen continue to support us with a kitchen makeover

Eddie’s have been very fortunate over the past 4 years to receive some fantastic corporate support from the international Pharmaceutical Company Amgen. The relationship between Amgen and Eddie’s started in 2012 when Amgen looked to develop a new charitable relationship. Since then the relationship has continued to grow and provide huge benefits for both parties.

Most recently 3 members of staff from the Cambridge site made a huge difference in Artworks. The volunteers from Amgen spent the day with us transforming the kitchen area from a blank magnolia to a mixture of vibrant colours, creating a very positive area for everyone to enjoy.

Nikki Hollier, Eddie’s Day Centre Co-ordinator said, “We aim to create a supportive, vibrant and energizing environment for the many local people we support. Having a magnificent team of volunteers from Amgen to paint the kitchen has been brilliant for everyone. It has totally transformed the room into a great place to be.” Everyone at Eddie’s loves the new colourful kitchen and we are all extremely grateful to Amgen for allowing its employees to give up some time to support the charity.

Dan Waller, Head of UK Facilities Operations at Amgen said, “Our projects at Eddie’s are always thoroughly enjoyed by our staff.  The Eddie’s team do such amazing work and it’s fantastic to be able to give something back to our local community by helping them out.”

If your company is interested in developing a charity of the year partnership or you would like to support Eddie’s in any other way, we would love to hear from you. For further information contact Suzanne Lombardo, Suzanne.lombardo@eddies.org.uk or call 07437 947178.
