Fantastic donation will help service grow

Eddie’s Fenland Artworks to benefit from wind farm money

Eddie’s Fenland are thrilled to benefit from a grant through the Burnt House Wind Farm. The wind farm situated in Turves donates to local causes each year through the Cambridgeshire Community Fund (CCF).

During the next year Fenland Artworks will receive a total of £6,000 from the wind farm which will go a long way towards helping Eddie’s to expand the service further and support more local people.

Eddie’s Fenland Artworks opens Monday-Wednesday from 10-3 and benefits many adults with a learning disability in the Fenland area. The service also provides support to teenagers moving into adult services during the school holidays.

Helen Thurley, Eddie’s Head of Services said; “We are very grateful to everyone at The Burnt House Wind Farm and CCF for choosing to support Eddie’s Artworks. Artworks has a huge variety of benefits to the people we support and we are keen to build on its current success for the future.”

This year at Artworks we intend to hold a Christmas show as well as getting more involved with other community groups and projects. We look forward to welcoming new Artworks members as well as new volunteers to support the service.
